Roberto uses research, storytelling, maps, and interviews to raise awareness, strengthen communities, and protect the environment. He immerses himself in communities to turn their stories into impactful documentaries.

Between 1979 and 2022, Nicaragua’s civil war, dictatorship, and pandemic led to widespread poverty and migration to Costa Rica. The film explores the lives of "Bacheros," Nicaraguan farmers who work in construction and live in makeshift shacks.

Despite the luxury construction boom in Costa Rica, these workers remain largely unseen. The film captures their sacrifices, struggles, and resilience, offering an intimate look at the human side of migration and its impact on identity.
