WHAT UNITES US
The Chamber of Tourism and Commerce of the Blue Zone (CATUCZA), serving the communities of Santa Teresa, Malpaís, Playa Hermosa, and Manzanillo, extends its sincere gratitude to all its affiliates from the private sector. Together with local residents and organizations, they have been key in this collective effort.
Since August 2024, their support has made it possible to rent the space where the Santa Teresa Tourist Police currently operates, while construction continues on the new police station—now 57% complete. This significant progress is a direct result of the joint commitment and contributions of CATUCZA’s affiliates.
We are proud to be a diverse Chamber, made up of 50% Costa Rican-owned businesses and 50% foreign investment ventures. This diversity is not only a reflection of the multicultural character of Santa Teresa and its surrounding areas, but also a strength that drives us toward a more prosperous future. Here, cultural differences do not divide us—they enrich us, teach us, and unite us in building a place we all call home.
We continue working hand in hand with the community and local government to strengthen what unites us:
• The safety of our tourism destination
• Regenerative tourism and community well-being
• Job creation and labor formalization
• Training to improve job access
• Support for sports and many other initiatives we continue to promote in coordination with ADI ST MP and the Local Government
This is an open call to anyone who wants to contribute their ideas, energy, and commitment. We believe every vision matters, and the true strength of Santa Teresa and its surroundings lies in the collaboration of those who share a love for this place—beyond borders and differences.
Thank you to our affiliates and to all who believe in the power of unity. Because beyond what may set us apart, there is something much greater that brings us together: the shared desire to make Santa Teresa a safe, inclusive, and opportunity-filled destination for all.
