The Chamber of Tourism and Commerce of the Blue Zone participated in the First Territorial Tourism Forum convened by the Municipal Intendancy

Session of January 17, 2025

Last Friday, January 17, representatives of the Chamber of Tourism and Commerce of the Blue Zone (CATUCZA) actively participated in the First Territorial Tourism Forum, organized by the Municipal Intendancy under the leadership of Intendant Ronny Montero.

The event brought together business owners from the tourism and commerce sectors affiliated with CATUCZA, who took the opportunity to voice their concerns and propose solutions on key issues for the development of the tourism destination along the western coast of the Cóbano district.

During the session, important initiatives were discussed, including the implementation of a regenerative tourism approach and the projects promoted by the Chamber for the benefit of the region and its communities. Additionally, concerns were raised regarding the possibility of organizing cultural activities in restaurants, the sustainable use of public areas within the Maritime-Terrestrial Zone (ZMT), tourism security, improvements in road and pedestrian infrastructure, and territorial planning, among other relevant matters.

The Intendancy showed a receptive attitude and willingness for dialogue, highlighting the importance of working together with the private sector, a key driver of the economy in the Cóbano district.

At CATUCZA, we are pleased with the outcomes of this meeting and reaffirm our commitment to collaborative dialogue and the pursuit of effective solutions for the challenges faced by the tourism destination we represent.
